When I go to try a new nutritional supplement or protein powder, I don’t just plunk down $50+ on some untried substance. I go to the Internet and read reviews! I want to know what everyone else has to say. Does it work? Does it taste good? Is there a place you can get it cheaper?

So I’ve rounded up a bunch of Muscle Milk reviews so that you can see yourself what people think of it.

February 22, 2008
By J Luke
Whenever I want to get back into shape after a 1-2 month layoff, Muscle Milk is great! It really gives me a solid build. I would definitely recommend, if you’re considering this product, that you drink a lot of fluids because the powder mix tends to give me dry-mouth a lot. As long as you drink plenty of fluids and keep to a solid routine, you’re bound to be happy with the results. It’s about 650 calories with milk and about 350 calories if you use water with the mix. I use the milk, the shake TASTES GREAT! COOKIES AND CREAM!!! THE BEST!!!

FANTASTIC, February 13, 2008
By Buff Guy
Having a physically demanding job, this gives me just the added edge I need to keep myself on top. Favorite Flavor - Natural Ral Chocolate.

Wow, February 11, 2008
By Memento Mori
Amazing product, I’m a runner and I pull 5,000 pound pallets at work so my legs used to be sore 24-7. Not anymore, if you are a lean person and you want to build muscle then take one of these before you go to bed and one before you start your day. It will make a huge difference, muscles get broken down while you sleep for fuel and if you’re a lean person then this product will nourish your body without contributing to fat, you’ll wake up refreshed and restored. Try it. Love it. Thank me later.

Chocolate is the best, January 23, 2008
By Reggie Luper
I’m not a scientist and am not a true body builder, so I’m pretty much a newbie. However, the chocolate is what I ordered and MAN it tastes GREAT! I use 2% milk and use a shaker. I can never shake all the powder tho.

meal replacement, January 19, 2008
By Stephen P. Pones
This product is great for a meal replacement, must read label. If you mix with 2% milk can be a lot of calories, Be smart and use as a b-fast or lunch meal replacement and the pounds will fall off! I like to add a tablespoon of flax-seed oil and a teaspoon of L-glutamine powder an your stylin! get banana cream flavor, It is the bomb!!!

blueberry mixes more easily than chocolate, January 9, 2008
By Jeff Fitzsimons
Muscle Milk’s taste is far better than any other protein shake I’ve tried. The blueberry flavor is very tolerable, and it mixes readily with water. The chocolate tastes extremely chocolaty (which may or may not be a good thing for you), but it’s tougher to mix. The chocolate appears to be a finer powder, and it clumps up more easily than the blueberry did.
I will definitely purchase again, but I will probably go back to the blueberry flavor.

Old stock from Amazon, January 8, 2008
By Joe Ramirez
Of all the proteins i have tried Musle milk is the best for me. However, two of the last three buys from my Amazon.com supplier tasted flat and rather poor. perhaps their stock of Mocha joe is old? i hope they fix there problem when they do perhaps i will re-order then.

Great protein, best flavor, January 7, 2008
By P. Luu
I am partial to chocolate mint, I think it is the best flavor for a couple protein mixes out there. Muscle milk is a proven muscle builder and contains micellular caesin which sets it apart from most protein mixes. I mix it with some water post workout or with milk before bed and its great. Great taste, great results.

Why is egg white protein powder produced and popular among dieters and body builders? It is probably because pure egg white is the best natural source of protein around. Making up about 60 percent of the liquid weight of the egg, the egg white is an excellent source of protein and it has no cholesterol. The egg white is an excellent source of protein and riboflavin. Liquid egg white is pasteurized when sold as a liquid or frozen product. Liquid egg white is not a favorable medium for Salmonella growth because of its alkaline pH and iron deficiency and the presence of ovotransferrin. Low in calories, fat, and carbohydrates, the egg white protein powder is not only the healthiest and most versatile part of the egg, it’s also nature’s perfect protein.

Egg white is largely protein on a dry basis. Egg white is an extremely good protein and used to be superior to whey before it came along. An egg white is made up of about 88% water and nearly 11% proteins, with trace amounts of carbohydrates and minerals. Cloudiness in a fresh egg white is another sign of freshness. The vitamin A content of the egg white is very good for your skin. Egg white protein powder is cholesterol free. The egg white is a high-protein, low-fat food with virtually no cholesterol. Egg white is also among the lowest heat treated proteins available. Trying to separate the egg yolk from the egg white is no easy undertaking sometimes.

Dried egg white is available in super markets and health food stores. A good quality protein shake such as on make from egg white protein powder is a great idea. Dried egg white protein powder is not as messy as liquid egg white protein. You can find egg white protein powder from the suppliers on this site.

What is Cytosport Muscle Milk? Here’s a Cytosport Muscle Milk review. It is a protein formula that promotes fat burning efficiently, lean muscle building and quick exercise recovery. Ingredients promote growth and recover in a way that is similar to human mother’s milk. One ingredient of Muscle Milk is medically proven EndoCreatine which provides benefits of creatine storing and loading by raising your body’s own production of creatine. It provides efficient energy production with Lean Lipids which are fats that are easily used for energy. They also promote your own body’s fat metabolism, protein synthesis and immune system. EvoPro, also an ingredient, mimics mother’s milk in the ability to rapidly repair tissue.
Cytosport Muscle Milk Review

It works and tastes really good. I took muscle milk for about 1 1/2 months and my benchpress went up about 25-30 lbs. It worked for me it is one of my favorite drinks. Cytosport Muscle Milk gave me more energy than I’ve ever had in the weight room. -Kevin

Cytosport Muscle Milk is the best on the market. Muscle Milk is amazing! I lost body fat and increased pure, lean muscle everywhere. I am truly amazed. If you are trying to burn fat, get ripped, and build lean muscle, then this is for you. -Bob

Muscle Milk is great product. The taste is good, I am a U.S. Marine so I was worried about weight gain but if you push yourself and work out hard you have nothing to worry about. It is a great after workout product. –Brian

Cytosport Muscle Milk is not actually milk, unless you buy the ready to drink Muscle Milk. Instead it is a protein powder for instant nutrition. It is perfect for serious athletes. Muscle Milk is made in manufacturing and packaging plants that are completely owned by Cytosport.
Cytosport Muscle Milk Review

Okay, so here is the real deal about this stuff. As long as you stick to a consistent workout plan and throw in some cardio, then you will see results. I finally broke through my bench plateau and I’ve started getting my abs back. I take it after I work out and right before I go to sleep. I’m sure that if you follow the directions better than I do and exercise correctly you will see the results you want. -J

I’m impressed with Cytosport Muscle Milk and I say that after finishing a tub of the protein powder. I’ve heard great things about it but had never tried it till now. What I’ve heard about Cytosport Muscle Milk regarding taste and quality do indeed seem to be true.

On the market are quite a few whey protein powders and all are very similar. Consumers pick their favorite based on price, brand loyalty, or taste. But there are different types of protein powder made for different uses. A pure whey protein powder is for post workout and protein powder blends are for all day or right before bedtime. There is a variety of protein powders used as well such as whey concentrate, whey isolate protein and a combination of the two.

Cytosport Muscle Milk is a protein blend best used throughout the day and right before bedtime. It’s a blend of whey and casein proteins in Cytosport’s special Evopro formula. So I recommend it for all day use but not right after a workout. Muscle Milk is touted by Cytosport as nature’s ultimate anabolic protein modeled after human mother’s milk which of course has anabolic growth properties.

Cytosport Muscle Milk has alpha micellar casein and beta micellar casein, Alpha-Lactalbumin, purified bovine colostrums extract (secrotory IgA, IGF-1), lactoferrin, glutamine peptides among others. What are these ingredients and what are they for? Alpha lactalbumin has a greater protein efficiency ratio than whey and casein protein. It also has a higher biological value and has large amounts of essential amino acids. Bovine colostrum is produced by cows during the 24 to 48 hours after giving birth. It is an important immunity booster. It contains immune factors, antioxidants, minerals, enzymes, vitamins. It is identical to human colostrums but at stronger levels. There are claims that this colostrum raises IGF-1 levels.

The whey and casein protein blend is popular right before bedtime because the proteins are absorbed at different rates. Whey protein is digested rapidly which means your body is hit with amino acids rapidly. Raising amino acid blood levels stops muscle breakdown. But about half is used by your body for muscle breakdown and the other half for protein synthesis. Casein protein is absorbed slower and by the time whey is used up the casein protein kicks in.

Some people complain that Cytosport Muscle Milk has a lot of fat, more than other protein powders. Most of the fats are medium chain tryglicerides which are burned as energy and increase calorie burning.

Everyone loves the taste and it smells good and tastes great even if mixed with water. I recommend milk or soy milk though for a really creamy shake.

Great Taste & Works Well, It’s difficult for me to say how effective this fat/protein/carbo combination works compared to other muscle building shakes which consist of mainly whey protein, but it does indeed help burn fat (when combined with regular exercise of course) and it tastes great. So many health shakes taste chalky or just plain bad, but this product really tastes great mixed with skim milk. I highly recommend it.

Protein you can mix with a spoon! I know that doesn’t seem like much but I’ve struggled with most protein powders as they just never mix. This one still is better if done in a blender but in a pinch a spoon does well.

Taste is perfect. Almost delicious. Does it work? Well, who can tell? I’ll let the scientists analyze that.

Best tasting protein out there. I have been using this product for over 2 years. I have tried tons of other protein powders and nothing compares to the taste of Muscle Milk. Mix with milk and its a true milk shake. I personally got the banana creme flavor and mix it with chocolate milk. absolutely delicious. recommend this product to anyone who wants a VERY good tasting protein at a good price.

Yummy! I’m reviewing the Blueberries ‘n Cream flavor of Muscle Milk. This is the first time I’ve ever tried one of their products. I was worried that, like so many other products, it would taste awful. But the taste is great! You have a choice of mixing the powder with either water or milk. I used water and it was delicious. It would probably be even better with milk. I’ll be buying this regularly from now on and will also be checking out the other flavors.

CytoSport Muscle Milk Peanut Butter Chocolate. Overall this is a good flavor. I mix it with Chocolate Soy Milk and do everything I can to get rid of the chunks of powder. My best method of breaking up the chunks is to add a few ounces of boiling water to the powder, then the soy milk, then finally a few ice cubes. Hope this review has been helpful.

Great taste, This is the best tasting protien powder I’ve ever tasted. The fat content is a bit high for what I would like, but I am female, so for males I would say its great. I usually cut the serving size in half and that is plently thick enough for me. Good stuff!

Muscle Milk is made by Cytosport. It is a drink formulated for fat burning, lean muscle growth and fast exercise recovery. It’s called muscle milk because it stimulates growth and recovery in the way that a mother’s milk does. Mother’s milk is actually the best anabolic food, and Cytosport set out to mimic it with Muscle Milk.

Muscle Milk benefits are muscle growth and muscle repair. It has a formulated ratio of proteins, amino acids and peptides that provides rapid tissue growth and repair. Muscle Milk also contains Lean Lipids which are fats that are mobilized for workout energy. They enhance your fat burning metabolism and promote protein synthesis and retention of minerals. Not all fats are the same and some fats are actually vital for fat burning. MCTs are fatless fats that are more likely to be burned for energy than stored as fat. MCT also promotes a positive nitrogen balance. Muscle milk therefore contains more fat than other muscle gain products, but the Lean Lipids actually help you get leaner. It also increases the body’s natural production of creatine.

Muscle Milk should be drank 30 minutes to 2 hours before your workout. You can drink it with Cytomax. You could also drink it within 1 hour after workouts. It can be mixed with water or low fat milk that tastes like a milk shake. When you take Muscle Milk after a workout you are reversing muscle breakdown. Also take it before bedtime so your muscles are not broken down for energy during your sleep.
